Eighteen04 and our resident startup SwitchDin is facilitating a trip to Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China for hardware startups based in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter Region. The trip is designed for startup founders and technical teams who want to get their bearings on the consumer electronics manufacturing services available in China.

This curated trip will teach the ins and outs of mass manufacturing, as well as best practices on how to engage a contract manufacturer. The trip will include 5 days visiting factories, suppliers, electronics markets and meeting key contacts. Participants will use the trip to get your bearings, start your product, or just refine your supply chain.

The cost will be about USD$1100 which covers all your travel, meals and accommodation in China and participants will also need to pay separately for your international flights and their stay in Hong Kong. Our partners are super experienced and connected and this is an absolute bargain experience which we don’t think is available anywhere else.

At this stage we’re just looking for an expression of interest to see if we can pull together a highly motivated group of 8-10 people sometime in April-July 2017.

If you're interested, please contact andrew.mears@switchdin.com preferably before Sunday 26th March.
